Qing Ming

Qing Ming Festival is a Chinese traditional festival, equivalent of the tomb-sweeping day, where people visit columbarium and burial grounds to pray to their beloved and ancestors. In Singapore, this festival usually stretches for 2 weeks, a week before and after the 15th day after Spring, usually 4th or 5th April.

In Years 2011 to 2014 during the Qing Ming period, we held exhibition and awareness events at Mount Vernon Sanctuary to bring about the awareness of Sea Burial, Algordanza Memorial Diamonds and also to get people to start to ‘Think’ about how would they want their funeral to be like?
